Annie Belle Sunday was born on November 8, 1932 in a little farmhouse, a few miles from Tomball, in Okalahoma Settlement, Montgomery County, Texas. She lived there until almost eight years old, moved to Tomball, Texas where she was baptized into Christ at age thirteen and graduated from Tomball High School in 1951. Creative writing and painting have always been a part of her life as far back as her mother’s first instructions for her at age four and five. The ABC’s and numbers were drawn on the new blackboard, which stood before the fireplace. Her mother taught her patiently and lovingly so many important lessons. Some of these were also taught to the little girl, at four and five years old, by old country preachers where she sat on the front seat partly listening and sometimes sleeping. Sermons were often too long for a young child! Her love for singing was begun at this young age too. The love of Jesus Christ and God’s Word along with the arts has become the inspiration for the writing and publishing of her children’s books. Her prayer is that she can instill a love for God and obedience to follow His will in young people.
